Congratulations to 4-H member, Olivia Thorpe (Lebanon County) and 4-H alum and leader, Natalie Sensenig (Lancaster County) who won their divisions in the PA "Make It With Wool" contest, held on October 5 at the Farm Show Complex. Both received expense-paid trips to compete at the national contest to be held in January in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Olivia modeled a three-piece ensemble. She tailored a red and black buffalo plaid coat, which features couture pockets, bias yoke, and lining. She wears the coat with a stretch wool jumpsuit with a V-neck, lining, and invisible zipper. Finally, she has a red jersey t-shirt with trumpet sleeves. She competed in the Junior Division (ages 13-16).

Natalie created a light purple dress with princess seaming, waistline seam, invisible zipper, and lining. Her lined, flared coat is deep purple and has a unique double-layered collar. She competed in the Senior Division (ages 17-24). She is a recent graduate of Lancaster Bible College, majoring in Early Childhood Education. She is a leader in Lancaster County 4-H and led a workshop at State Fashion Revue.

The PA Make it With Wool Contest is sponsored by the PA Sheep and Wool Growers, with contributions from many supporters. The contest has several divisions: Pre-Teen, Junior; Senior; Adult; and Made for Others. The Junior and Senior winners receive an expense-paid trip to the national contest each year.
