Rough Riders serves children primarily in the southern end of Lancaster County- both those having access to a horse or pony, or those that are horseless.

The club has business meetings the first Thursday of the month, and workshop meetings the third Thursday of the month to work on the activity books. We have a minimum of one mounted activity per month beginning in March through November. Mounted activities include clinics, club shows, a camp-out, participation in a community parade, and trail rides. In addition we give back to the community with our pony rides - a local fair, and also the Schreiber Rubber Ducky Race - the children give pony rides and donate half of the proceeds back to Schreiber. Giving rides to children, some with disabilities, is a thrill for our members.
