The Rabbiteer club concentrates on teaching youth how to properly care and manage their rabbits and cavies.

Lessons include housing, nutrition, proper handling, and common diseases of both rabbits and cavies. Throughout the year guess speakers give presentations on several of these subjects. In addition, this club promotes showing rabbits and cavies, and promoting rabbits as a vital commodity in the agricultural community.

Activities include visiting a local feed mill, touring a factory that makes cages, attending local ARBA rabbit shows and County fairs, as well as participating in community service projects. This club promotes team work , as well as developing individual skills in giving presentations and public speaking opportunities.

Club members do not need to own a rabbit or cavy to belong; all they need is the desire to learn and have fun.
