Lancaster County Clubs

Lancaster County 4-H Program hosts many 4-H clubs offering unique educational opportunities for youth across the county.

Community Clubs are clubs that offer various projects through one club. The different projects meet separately from the club. For example, popular projects in the community clubs are sewing, foods, rocketry, archery, etc.

The Dairy & Livestock Clubs that are species oriented and focus on market and dairy animals. Project Clubs are also oriented a specific project, such as rabbits, alpacas, seeing eye puppies, etc. Each club specializes in a particular subject area. The Horse Clubs specialize in horses but can be found in different communities across Lancaster County. Special Interest Clubs are clubs that focuses on learning one project or skill over a shortened period of time.

Start a new club

4-H is all about exploration! If you do not see a project or a club that looks like the right fit, you can start a new club.

  • 4-H Clubs require:
  • At least 5 youth (from at least two families)
  • An adult club leader as point of contact with the 4-H Educator
  • A minimum of 2 screened adult volunteers
  • Hold regular educational meetings

Special Interest Clubs (SPIN)

Special Interest clubs are offered throughout the year. Topics may include gardening, creative arts, theater arts, cloverbuds and more. Please be sure to check out the news and events section for upcoming SPIN opportunities.

Our dairy and livestock clubs are based around each species. Currently we offer a club for each of these livestock species: beef, dairy, dairy beef, market goats, sheep and swine.
