On Wednesday, August 11th, Lancaster County 4-H hosted Presentation and Talent Night at the Farm and Home Center. There were seven entries in either the Talent, Verbal, or Visual Division who performed or presented to an audience of friends, family members, and Lancaster County 4-H employees.
In the Talent Division, there were Senior and Junior participants. The winner of the Senior Talent Division was Eilis DiIorio who performed "Indian Serenade" on piano. For the Junior Talent Division, Ashlyn Brenneman received first place playing, "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?" on the saxophone, Sarah Brenneman received second place playing piano and singing "In Christ Alone", and Elena DiIorio received third place playing "The Milky Way" on piano.
In the Verbal Division, Haley Irwin received first place presenting her experience on being a 4-H Ambassador. In the Visual Division, MacKenzie VanBrederode received first place for her entry in the Photography Exhibit Contest and also the Large and Small Animal Art Contest, and Faith Musser received first place for her entry in the Poster Art Contest.
Our judge for the Talent and Verbal Divisions for Presentation and Talent night was Deena Granger who was impressed by the individuals who participated in the event and positively commented on their presentations and performances. Our judge for the Visual Division was Christine Raczka who saw a lot of talent in the entries and gave great feedback to the two participants in this division. While the scores for the participants were being tabulated, sweet treats of cupcakes and ice cream were enjoyed. Overall, it was a fun, talent-filled night.
