It was a great day for our annual 4-H Strawberry Roundup hosted by the Rotary Club of Lancaster on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

And The Winners Are:

  • Advanced Champion – Leah Brenneman – Buyer: Tom Baum - $400
  • Beginner Champion – Levi Musser – Buyer: Rob Gallagher - $400
  • Beginner Reserve Champion – Amber Musser  - Buyer: Robert Simmons - $250

A HUGE thanks to the Lancaster Rotarians that supports this event every year! Grand Champion berries sold for $400 a quart! Thank you to H.K. Keller who carried on the tradition of selling the strawberries.  There was a memorial tribute to Harold Keller, Auctioneer, who had conducted the straw "burry" auction for 54 years.

While the berries and books were being judged, 4-H members worked in groups to create new strawberry business plans. There were business plans submitted by the groups ranging from Strawberry soap and perfume, to strawberry bacon cake and a weeding robot!

Leon Ressler judged the strawberry entries submitted by the 4-H members in the Round Up using 10 different areas of criteria.

Thank you to Everyone for Your Support!
