The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) jointly administered by the College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University seeks to hire an Assistant or Associate Professor in the areas of modern industry, technology, and manufacturing. This is a 9-month, tenured/tenure-track position with potential for summer funding. The position is 45% research, 45% teaching, and 10% professional and institutional service.
Successful candidates will be expected to establish, grow, and sustain a world-class research program that should relate to the needs of modern industry. Their research program will complement and expand ABE current research strengths, including but not limited to, controls and automation, sensing and cyber physical systems, smart devices, system optimization, lean manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing and product development. The candidate is expected to be student-centered and teach highly engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in technology and applied engineering.
