How to Contact Us
The Garden Hotline team is here to answer your questions. If you have a plant question or concern, please send a detailed description via email to chestermg@psu.edu or leave a message at 610-696-3500. Photos can be attached to any email to help the Master Gardeners identify the plant or issue. Master Gardeners will retrieve your email or voicemail and respond.
Soil Test Kits and Water Test Kits
Soil test kits and water test kits can be purchased at most Penn State Extension county offices or the paperwork can be downloaded directly from the lab online.

Plant Pathology Services
If the Garden Hotline is unable to diagnose your plant disease, the Penn State Plant Disease Clinic remains open and accepts samples.
The Clinic encourages submitting photos before mailing samples. Digital samples can be sent to PlantClinic@psu.edu. Physical samples can be mailed to the clinic via US Mail, FedEx and UPS. See the Clinic website for more specific information on submitting digital and physical samples.

You may also reach out to the national eXtension site https://ask.extension.org/ask where you will be invited to choose your state and then choose a group to receive your query. Choose Penn State Master Gardeners. Your question will be assigned to a Master Gardener who will respond to you.
