Graduate Research Assistant - UC Davis

An assistantship is available for a student who is interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of California, Davis.

The fields of research are related to precision agriculture, sensing, and mechanization.

Requirements:

  1. MS degree in agricultural, biosystems or a closely related engineering field
  2. Experience with computer programing, spectral analysis, machine learning, microcontrollers,mechanical design
  3. Interest in conducting applied research and extension projects
  4. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  5. Applicants must take the GRE test.
  6. International applicants must score at least the following on language exams if applicable: TOFEL (80) or IELTS (7).

Bonus skill: Image processing, aerial image acquisition, deep learning

Start date is September 24th, 2018 (Fall 2018).
