4-H members learned about rabbit and cavy breed identification and shared their experiences at the Pennsylvania State Rabbit Breeders Association (PaSRBA) Convention.
Cheyenne and Sienna brought their two rabbits to the meeting. Members learned about the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) Standard of Perfection. They did an activity of Breed Identification for rabbits and cavies using picture cards. Another activity was using the Standard of Perfection, and the Breed ID cards to identify what breed of rabbits Cheyenne and Sienna have. The members worked together and determined that one rabbit was a mixed breed and the other was a Polish. The members collected food donations for the Jenkintown Food Pantry.
Austin gave a report on the 2024 Pennsylvania State Rabbit Breeders Association (PaSRBA Convention) that was held the first weekend in February. He was the only Little Rascal's member who attended. He participated in Royalty, Breed Identification, Showmanship, Judging, Management, and Achievement Contests. Austin earned the title of 2024 PaSRBA Prince, 1st place Achievement, 1st place Management, 2nd place Breed Identification and Showmanship. He also showed rabbits and cavies and did very well. Club leaders Sheila and Denise also attended.
