Leaders were asked to choose a 4-H member that they felt deserved credit for their special efforts at the club level. The I Dare You Award recognizes the achievements and the promise of aspiring leaders.

Addy

Addy H. has been an active member of 4-H for 10 years, first at Hilltown 4-H Community Club, and then as a founding member of the Chal-Brit 4-H Club. From the beginning, Addy has actively participated in club, county, and state events. She has been a leader both in and out of 4-H, and these skills have truly shown in the past few years. As a member of the Chal-Brit Community Club, Addy has held many officer positions and represented Chal-Brit as a Camp Shehaqua counselor, Bucks County Ambassador, at the State Leadership Conference and in the Bucks County Teen Council. Last January she was recognized for her efforts in service and leadership by obtaining her Pennsylvania Diamond Clover Award. Addy has led many 4-H projects for Chal-Brit, most recently the Recycled Art Project and the Cookies for Troops service project. Finally, Addy helps to promote 4-H throughout the commonwealth, including creating a PA 4-H Communications spot highlighting the PA 4-H sewing program. We are proud of Addy’s leadership skills, both in 4-H and non-4-H settings, and truly believe she is worthy of the I Dare You Award.

Declan

Declan C. is a member who exemplifies everything that 4-H stands for. He works hard at his projects and displays commitment, leadership, and a positive attitude. His commitment to community service goes beyond 4-H and into his personal life, where he has developed and run an organization that collects socks for people who are in need! Declan is a role model to both his peers, and to those of us who are lucky enough to know him! He believes in "To Make The Best Better" and is a worthy recipient of the I Dare You Award.
