The Bucks County 4-H Dairy Club exhibited at the Middletown Grange Fair in August. Members spent the week educating fairgoers about the dairy industry.

On Thursday, they had their annual judging contest and judged Spring Calves, Winter Calves, and Winter Yearlings. This was the Raymond C. and Rachel H. Gross Memorial 4-H Judging Contest. After that, several members competed in the Stockman's Contest. Many placed high in this competition.

On Friday, some members competed in the Bucks County Open Holstein Show.

On Saturday, all members competed in the Bucks County 4-H Dairy Show. The show had two types of judging: judging, which is placing the animals based on how they look, and showmanship and fitting. If a participant received both a showmanship and fitting ribbon, they would move on to the showmanship and fitting class to compete for the James L. and Eugenia T. Howes Memorial Award for Fitting and Showmanship Champion. This was won by Madison, who went on to represent the Dairy Club in the first-ever Dan Ancharski Master 4-H Showman Competition on Sunday. For the type judging, Emma won Supreme Champion of Show and the Harold Lownes Memorial Award with her 3-year-old cow, Octopus, followed by Lily, who won Reserve Supreme Champion of Show with her 2-year-old cow, Garden State Moovin Karleen.

The Tom Hardy Herdsman Award, awarded to the member who worked their hardest and had the best attitude, was won by Kendall. The Outstanding Dairy Project Award was awarded to Ally and Zoe.

The Dairy Club ended their week with a fun horse-drawn carriage ride on Sunday.

Congratulations to all!
