Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, & detailed oriented individuals
who are passionate about production agriculture & machinery. Through this position you will be
working with a major agricultural machinery manufacturer in an experimental field test
environment. This position is 30-45% travel throughout the U.S. and requires extensive periods
away from home. You will be working independently and as a team with engineers, technicians,
and customers on the cutting edge of agricultural machinery technology. In this exciting position
you will be working with a team to test and monitor operations of a highly automated vehicles
performing field work.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring highly automated machine is operational and operating in a safe manner within imposed restrictions.
- Independent and autonomous worker willing that can be a critical thinker and have strong risk assessment abilities.
- Responsible for communication with test cooperators (farmers) while ensuring their satisfaction of the job being done.
- Responsible for set-up of the highly automated vehicle – such as Recording field boundaries and making path plans.
- Understand and perform basic script and command prompt execution.
- Professional communication skills
- Troubleshooting equipment, debugging, defect reporting.
- Technically capable of updating display and vehicle controller software.
- Gathering critical machine CAN information, crop condition and test data.
- Gathering imaging data and uploading data to software engineers.
- Performing frequent software updates to autonomous vehicles and imaging equipment.
- Responsible for executing and/or coordinating the maintenance and repair of large ag equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 250 hours of agricultural machinery operation
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 in an agricultural major; preferably AST or Ag Engineering
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong knowledge of precision agriculture equipment
- Strong technology and computer troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to travel for six weeks or more at a time
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License w/ clean driving record
- Out-going
- Positive attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a team environment & alone
- Ability to work long hours, some night operation will be necessary
- Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed

Job Duration: Full-Time
Compensation: Pay plus bonuses based on experience All travel expenses paid by Sage Ag Inc.
