Job Title: Engineer - Draftsman
Job Brief:
GroffJulius is a design build general contractor focused in Agricultural Construction, based in York, PA. GJ
specializes in feed manufacturing, grain processing, and transload facilities. Combining in-depth industry
passion and experience with unparalleled design, solutions and execution allows GroffJulius to be the premier
design build partner in the Mid Atlantic US.
We are looking for an Engineer/Draftsman to join our fast-growing organization. You will be a key supporting
team member in the engineering department of an exciting agricultural construction company. This position
will be responsible to create the necessary drawings to help us build functional and well-designed feed and
grain handling systems that meet our customer’s needs.
To be successful in this position, you must have hands-on experience using CAD 2D and 3D software, with
strong attention to detail and an innovative approach to design challenges. It’s also important that you have a
self-motivating attitude, and a desire to grow in order to meet the daily demands of this role.
Responsibilities:
· Work directly with the team to gather product and design concept and complete necessary drawings for
completion of each project.
· Create approval drawings for customer review.
· Review and approve vendor approval drawings
· Create 2D and 3D production drawings from supplied design concept.
· Create 2D and 3D assembly drawings to show how systems are assembled for construction.
· Identify potential operational and fitment issues and bring awareness of potential problems to the Project
Engineer.
· Provide support for Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, Production Engineering, and Manufacturing
Qualifications:
·Thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization
-Associates/Bachelors degree or CAD certificate in Drafting/Design
· 2D and 3D experience; SolidWorks preferred,AutoCAD
· Understanding of drafting standards
· Understanding of dimensioning standards
· Microsoft Word, Excel, Project
