Seed to Supper

Seed to Supper is a comprehensive beginning gardening program that provides novice, adult gardeners the tools they need to learn how to successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget.

Garden Hotline

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in 58 Pennsylvania counties are trained to answer residents’ questions about gardening, on topics such as soil testing, growing vegetables, plant selection, pruning fruit trees, common plant diseases, insect identification, lawn care, and more.

Spotted Lanternfly Outreach

The invasive Spotted Lanternfly insect has been a focus for Penn State Master Gardeners since its arrival to Pennsylvania from Southeast Asia. While it is primarily an agricultural threat to our state, this insect can impact every resident in areas where infestation is intense.

Speakers’ Bureau

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners are University trained, knowledgeable volunteers who offer presentations on a wide range of horticultural subjects and environmental issues to garden clubs, municipal groups, and community organizations.

Pollinator Monitoring Programs

Since 2012, Penn State Extension Master Gardeners have conducted three pollinator projects at the Southeast Agricultural Research & Extension Center (SEAREC) in Landisville.

Pollinator Garden Certification

Pollinators need our help! Populations of all our pollinators are declining, including native bees, domestic bees, flies, beetles, and butterflies. They are affected by habitat loss, disease and contact with pesticides. But together we can make a difference.

Grow-Save-Repeat

Grow-Save-Repeat aims to show home gardeners of all experience levels how to save the seeds from their garden as well as how to breed their own unique varieties of fruits and vegetables through a few simple steps.
