Record Numbers Complete Woody Plant Identification Advanced Certificate
We are thrilled to announce that a record 42 Penn State Extension Master Gardeners completed their Woody Plant Identification Advanced Certificate in 2023! The certificate requires participants to complete courses with lectures, plant walks, and homework on the topics of shade trees, deciduous shrubs, conifers, broadleaved evergreens, and flowering trees. They also attend lectures on plant taxonomy, nomenclature, and morphology.
