We are excited to offer 3 new clubs for the 2024-2025 4-H year: Teen Council, Entomology and Metal Detecting & History Clubs.

Teen Council

We are excited to bring back our County Council for Teens ages 13-18 as of January 1st of the current 4-H year.  You do not have to be a member of another 4-H club to join this one!

The club will focus on leadership, event planning of county-wide community service projects and other 4-H events in addition to adulting skills for teens!

We welcome all teens to our Teen Night kick-off event on Tuesday October 1st, 2024 to learn about all the clubs, short courses, and opportunities for teens.

Teen Council will meet monthly at our Farm Home and Youth Complex with additional activities and meetings held at the leader's discretion. Please contact our office at 610-489-4315 for leader contact information and our office staff will put you in touch with the leader. The club leader will let you know when the next meeting is being held and give you more detailed information on club activities and events. When you attend the meeting and make the decision to join the club, the club leader will have all the necessary information for you to join 4-H.

Entomology Club

Montgomery County 4-H Entomology Club is a chance to learn about the fascinating world of insects and their close relatives for youth ages 8-18. With over 900,000 identified insect species in the world and more being discovered all the time, there is always something new and interesting to explore in this club. From monarchs to mantises, from lady bugs to leaf hoopers, youth will learn about the importance of these amazing creatures to humans and to our planet.  Members participate in fun and engaging activities, meet local experts, and have the opportunity to participate in hands on experiences like insect collection and observation, citizen science, raising species at home, macroinvertebrate stream study, and more.
