The Silver Pails Goat Club is open to all youth ages 8 - 18 (as of Jan. 1st of the current year) with or without farm backgrounds.

Joining the Silver Pails 4-H club is a fun way to meet new people, and possibly raise a goat.  In the Silver Pails club, we raise pet goats. The goat club teaches about learning to raise goats, as wells as learning leadership, public speaking and how to organize events. In the spring, we make our own goat milk soap to sell as a fundraiser throughout the year. We also do several service projects including making Easter baskets for the homeless, and near Christmas time, making and delivering goat ornaments to a nursing home. We have meetings at the Farm Home and Youth complex and go on an annual trip to a farm or zoo. We include our goats in activities like goat yoga, goat racing, and goat obstacle courses. The highlight of our year is our goat show at the Farm Home and Youth Fair in August.

The Montgomery County 4-H Silver Pails Club meets monthly at our Farm Home and Youth Complex with additional activities and meetings held at the leader's discretion. Please contact our office at 610-489-4315 for leader contact information and our office staff will put you in touch with the Silver Pails Club leader. The club leader will let you know when the next meeting is being held and give you more detailed information on club activities and events. When you attend the meeting and make the decision to join the club, the club leader will have all the necessary information for you to join 4-H.
