The Sewing Club is open to all youth 8-18 as of January 1st of the current year.

All new members must first participate in our Beginning Sewing session to learn how to use our sewing machines (even if they have prior experience sewing at home).  You do not need to own a sewing machine to be in the club.  Some project beginner members make include a pillowcase and a drawstring bag.

Intermediate and Advanced Sewing is available for members who at the leader's discretion are ready for more advanced projects.  Some examples include a skirt, pants, jacket, dress, etc.

There are opportunities for members to participate in 4-H Regional and State Fashion Revue with their sewing and textile projects.  Members can sew additional projects that are not garments as well.

Teen members of the Creamery Crafters who are enrolled in the Textile Sciences are also eligible for the Sara Danehower Scholarship, presented during at 4-H Achievement Night.

The Montgomery County 4-H Sewing Club, meets weekly at our 4-H Center with additional activities and meetings held at the leader's discretion. Please contact our office at 610-489-4315 for leader contact information and our office staff will put you in touch with the club leader. The club leader will let you know when the next meeting is being held and give you more detailed information on club activities and events. When you attend the meeting and make the decision to join the club, the club leader will have all the necessary information for you to join 4-H.
