The 2022 4-H Potato Grading and Identification Contest was held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show on January 11, 2022. One hundred and seven 4-H members comprising of 27 teams participated in this exciting contest. 4-H youth from Bedford, Bradford, Carbon, Indiana, Lebanon, Lehigh, Lycoming, Montgomery, Northampton, Potter, Tioga, Union, and York Counties all tested their knowledge of spuds.

This year 15 youth from Lehigh County 4-H participated in the State Potato Judging Contest. The contest along with the Pennsylvania State Farm Show were both held virtually this year. Congratulations Lehigh County 4-Hers!

4-H members Kamryn Fink of Germansville, Lillian Gallagher of Zionsville, and Alivia Remick of Quakertown attended the PA 4-H State Leadership Conference.

Members of the Livestock Club spent an afternoon learning about being a scientist and better caretakers with the help from a fellow 4-H leader.

Lehigh County 4-H is pleased to announce that Corteva Agriscience donated $2,500 toward the 4-H Livestock Club Barnyard Zoo as part of their company sponsorship program.

Lehigh County 4-H Livestock Club members wove a shawl that sold for $1,700.00, with proceeds being donated to two programs that aid in food security for children.

The Lehigh County 4-H Livestock Sale was held on Saturday September 3rd, 2022, at 1pm at the Great Allentown Fair. Swine, beef, dairy beef, sheep, and goats were among the animals sold, amounting to 48 in total. Proceeds grossed $50,730 with a $1,056 average per animal.

Several members of the Lehigh County 4-H Equine Club participated in the 62nd annual State 4-H Horse Show held October 27-30 at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

During 4-H week in 2023, the Lehigh County 4-H Dairy Club visited Four Springs Farms, LLC with the Gehringer family.

The 2025 4-H Potato Grading and Identification Contest was held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show on January 7, 2025. One hundred sixty-eight 4-H members participated in this exciting contest.

At the recent Pennsylvania 4-H State Leadership Conference, 15 4-H'ers received Diamond Clover Awards, the highest achievement possible in the Pennsylvania 4-H program.
