4-H Coop Club members chose the Lehigh County Humane Society as the recipient for a food and supply drive. The small club collected a truckload of items including cat and dog food, cleaning supplies, pet toys, towels, collars, kitty litter, and office supplies at their July 4-H club meeting. The items were inventoried and estimated to value over $490 which were donated to the Humane Society.

This was a successful community service activity for this group of young people who love small animals! The Lehigh County 4-H Coop Club welcomes youth ages 8-18 to join the club to learn about a variety of small animals including rabbits, cats, dogs, poultry, and other pets. Members do not need to have or show an animal. However, club members do get to interact with animals at many club meetings and learn what they eat, how to keep them healthy, the many uses of animals, and even how to train pets. Come learn about small animals in 4-H, as we start a new 4-H year this fall!
