The Master Gardener Garden Hotline is a free service to local home gardeners to provide advice and information on all things related to home gardening.

The Master Gardener Garden Hotline starts for the season in late April and will continue through the end of September. Master Gardeners will be available at the Extension office, 181 Franklin Farm Lane, to assist you with your home garden questions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, except on those holidays when the office is closed (Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day).

Call 717-263-9226 or stop in the Extension office during Garden Hotline hours to speak with a Master Gardener about your home garden problems or questions. You may bring in samples of plants and insects for identification, diagnosis, and recommendations.

No appointment is necessary, but it is suggested you call the Extension office first to make sure a Master Gardener volunteer is available before you visit. Outside of Garden Hotline hours, you can leave a message or drop off a sample at the Extension office, and a Master Gardener will contact you when the Hotline is open.

You can also reach the Master Gardener Garden Hotline via email at . Email your question and a detailed description of the problem. If possible, attaching two or three clear photos of the problem is helpful. Master Gardeners will retrieve your email and respond.

The Penn State Master Gardeners look forward to assisting you with information and resources to achieve a sustainable, beautiful, and productive home garden and landscape.
