The Sun Perennial Garden displays perennial plants that do well in our climate and bloom throughout the seasons.
The Perennial Demonstration Garden was designed and installed in the spring of 2005 to fill the space used by the Penn State Garden Select annual flower trials that are now consolidated at the Southeast Ag Research and Extension Center in Lancaster County.
The goal of the Perennial Garden is to showcase perennial plants that do well in our climate and to have something blooming and on display throughout the season.
In the fall, the Perennial Garden is also used for our hands-on Care of Perennials workshop, as well as a source of plant material for our annual plant sale.
