On Monday, August 7, 2023 the Chester County 4-H Fair kicked off the week of fun early in the morning when members of the Purple Ribbon Sheep Club and the Golden Fleece Sheep Club started arriving on the grounds with their projects.
Thirty lamb exhibitors filled the barns with a total of nineteen breeding ewes and forty-four market lambs. Each exhibitor worked hard all day to prep their lambs by washing, blowing, and shearing them to ensure they were spotless before the show that night. At 4:00 PM the excitement of the show began. Each lamb was evaluated and placed by Judge Kurt Fleener of Robesonia, Pennsylvania. The results are as follows:
