Chester County 4-H Shooting Sports Open Enrollment

The program emphasizes safe handling of firearms and archery equipment while fostering self-confidence and leadership skills in a supportive environment designed for positive youth development.

The Chester County 4-H program has four active shooting sports clubs that meet either monthly or in 8-week sessions. Enrollment is open for enthusiastic youth interested in the following disciplines: shotgun, archery, and air pistol. Each club is limited to fifteen members.

The Chester County 4-H Archery Club is open to youth, ages 8 and up. Meetings are held at the Oxford Gun Club on the second Tuesday of each month from 4:30 - 6:00 PM.

The Northern Chester County 4-H Archery Club will meet at the Romano 4-H Center from January to March and will be open to youth ages 8-18. The dates and times are to be determined.

The Shooting Sports 4-H Air Pistol Club meetings are on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 PM until December 16, 2024, at the Romano 4-H Center. The club is open to members ages 8-18.

The Shooting Sports 4-H Shotgun Club meets once a month on Friday evenings at the Oxford Gun Club. Scheduled dates in 2024 include November 8, and December 6. In 2025, the scheduled dates are February 21 and March 7. April & May dates are to be determined. Members must be 12 years or older.

Families new to 4-H can register for the Chester County Shooting Sports clubs at 4h.zsuite.org. Please note that participants must be enrolled in 4-H to join.
