Through this hands-on program, participants will learn about food security by playing the Food Fighter board game, becoming entrepreneurs and thinking critically about food waste reduction, becoming engineers by designing and building efficient growing environments, and fostering an understanding of plant cultivation and its role in food security.

This program is for youth ages 8 and older. This day camp is being offered at no cost to current 4-H members! New youth can enroll in 4-H for a $30 membership fee to participate.

Please bring your lunch and a water bottle.

The registration deadline is June 12, 2025 or when the camp is full.

Enrollment for current 4-H Members:

  1. Log into  ZSuite and add the Chester County Day Camps Club to your profile.
  2. Register in the event: "2025 Food for Thought 4-H Challenge."

Enrollment for youth who are not currently 4-H Members:

  1. Enroll in 4-H through the 4-H Enrollment Site, select the Chester County Day Camps Club, and pay the $30 4-H membership fee.
  2. Then you will be able to register in the event: "2025 Food for Thought 4-H Challenge."
