In this advanced camp, participants ages 8-18 will work with LEGO SPIKE Prime robotics and dive deeper into coding using MicroPython - a highly optimized version of the Python programming language designed for microcontrollers like the SPIKE Prime Hub.
Campers will program robots to complete a series of fun and challenging tasks, sharpening both their coding and problem-solving skills. This is the perfect opportunity for youth ready to expand their knowledge of robotics, coding, and real-world engineering!
Prior robotics experience (through our introductory camp or a 4-H club program) is required to participate.
The cost is $10 for currently enrolled 4-H members. Non-members can enroll in 4-H for a $30 enrollment fee and participate in one or more program at the 4-H member price.
Enrollment for current 4-H members:
- Log into ZSuite and add the Chester County Day Camps Club to your profile.
- Register in the event: "2025 Chester County 4-H STEM Saturday Day Camp: Advanced Programming with SPIKE Robots Using Python," and pay the $10 camp fee.
Enrollment for youth who are not currently 4-H members:
- Enroll through the 4-H Enrollment Site, select the Chester County Day Camps Club, and pay the $30 4-H membership fee.
- Then you will be able to register in the event: "2025 Chester County 4-H STEM Saturday Day Camp: Advanced Programming with SPIKE Robots Using Python," and pay the $10 camp fee.
Registration is required by July 25, 2025. Registration is limited to 12 registrants and is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once camp is filled, youth can register to be added to the camp waitlist.
