Club Information

Lovely Valley 4-H club was formed in 1977, as a small farming community that offered children the chance to communicate and socialize. The club was named after the small town of Lovely. We are a livestock club but participate in all projects when the desire arises. Our club members mainly consist of the Weyant, Lovely, Fishertown and Pleasantville areas of Bedford County. Our Club members do demonstrations, work with their animals and enjoy being with each other as friends and building relationships. We have two fund raisers a year to support educational trips and purchase t-shirts for our Club, and have a picnic after the Fair. At Christmas time we gather items for baskets to cheer the elderly and shut-ins over the holiday time.

Members

We started out with 8 members and over time grew to 38 members. The club now has members of the third generation of the original club members.
