2018 Recipient of the James R. and Karen A. Gilley Academic Leadership Award
Paul Heinemann, Head of the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, received the James R. and Karen A. Gilley Academic Leadership Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The award "honors and recognizes annually an ASABE member who is currently providing outstanding academic leadership while serving as the department head/chair of a Biological and/or Agricultural Engineering Department (or similarly named department) in the United States that presently has an ABET accredited Agricultural/Biological Engineering program." Dr. Heinemann was presented the award at the 2018 Annual International Meeting of ASABE held in Detroit, July 2018
