NABEC’s 2020 Young Engineer of the Year is Heather Preisendanz, an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Congratulations Heather!
NABEC's 2020 Young Engineer of the Year is Heather Preisendanz, an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. There she teaches two courses and has won three teaching awards. She has 26 refereed manuscripts published, two refereed conference proceeding papers, and two book chapters. Preisendanz has been a PI or co-PI on $8 million worth of successful funding, and almost $50,000 in support of undergraduate research projects. She is very active in ASABE and NABEC, including leadership roles and membership in several committees, and served as a reviewer/judge for student competitions.
Special Note:
Because of COVID-19, NABEC made the switch to holding its annual conference on a virtual platform. An abbreviated program, consisting of graduate and undergraduate student presentations, a business meeting, and a awards presentation were highlights of the meeting.
