Congratulation to Dr. Choi for an outstanding dissertation!
Penn State agricultural and biological engineering (ABE) assistant professor Daeun "Dana" Choi was announced as the sole winner of the prestigious Giuseppe Pellizzi Prize in Bologna, Italy on November 10th. The award was given to Dr. Choi for the best Ph.D. dissertation worldwide during 2016 and 2017 related to agricultural machinery or mechanization. Her dissertation on "Development of intelligent vision systems to support precision agriculture practices in Florida citrus production" was written at the University of Florida. Dr. Choi has been on the PSU faculty since receiving her Ph.D. in 2017.
