The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County have been hosting a monthly photo contest and you can take part!

February's theme was 'Spring Dreaming.'
Winners are receiving super prizes! Although there were several super photos from Jim & Sue Stoklosa, Yvonne Sickler, Terri Tiffany, Bev H. James, Sandy Wall, and Jean Nebzydoski, we had to only pick one! Keep sending those photos! We are proud to announce February's winner: Kera Superko of Laceyville in Wyoming County.
Her winning photo of an Eastern Bluebird was taken on her parent's property near Tunkhannock which attracts many songbirds. Kera always has a camera on hand as wildlife/nature photography is a passion of hers. She is a gardener and enjoys her flower beds as well as tending their vegetable garden in the summer.
"I spend moments I have to spare outside, especially in the woods, as I find it good for my soul." Kera says. "Fishing, hiking, and snapping pictures are my favorite pastimes. Though I greatly enjoy what each season has to offer, and I am looking forward to spring weather!" she adds.
March's theme is 'Marching Into Spring'

Winning photos will be posted on our Facebook page, the Penn State Master Gardener website, and in local newspapers along with a brief interview about the winning photographer! Plus a great prize for the winner-gift certificates, gardening books, etc!
Criteria to submit photo(s) for the Master Gardeners Monthly Photo Contest:
- Photos must be your own work
- Please enter up to 3 photos taken within the contest month.
- Please indicate entries with #photocontestMar on our Facebook page (Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County, PA)
- Include a description with your photo
