The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County have been hosting a monthly photo contest. December’s theme was: ‘Holiday Decorations’. Winners are receiving super prizes!

Lisa Wilcox's Christmas Village

Lisa Wilcox's Christmas Village

Although there were several super photos from Abigail Roe, Bev. H. James and Alicia Grenier, we had to only pick one! We are proud to announce December's winner: Lisa Wilcox of Laceyville, PA and her expansive Christmas village.

Lisa said winning the contest was a special surprise because she found out she won on her birthday! She and her family tend a vegetable garden and a few flower gardens on their property in Laceyville. This year was a good gardening year for them, they ended up with tomato plants that were over 6 feet tall! Lisa began her Christmas village 20 years ago and every year they add new buildings and trinkets to it. Her family is planning on building the village even bigger for this coming year.

Congratulations Lisa!
