The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Susquehanna County have been hosting a monthly photo contest and you can take part!

March's theme was: 'Marching into Spring.' Winners are receiving super prizes! Although there were a few super photos from Jim Stoklosa, Bev H. James, and Sandy Wall, we had to only pick one! Keep sending those photos!
We are proud to announce March's winner: Susan Stoklosa of Uniondale, PA with her photo of 'Crocus finally blooming in the Northern tier, marching into Spring!'
Susan is an avid nature lover. She does plantings in the spring by filling flowerpots around their yard with annual flowers and seeks out unique plants from a nearby greenhouse. She saves seeds from marigolds planted around her lamp posts and replants them each spring. Susan enjoys planting green beans in boxes on their patio for easy and delicious offerings!
Susan's other interest include photography. Every year she takes photos of their beloved granddaughter Ella and creates yearly photo books for her. Other subjects include nature shots and especially, sunsets. Susan, her husband Jim, and their dog Abby enjoy taking walks on the 'Rails to Trails' trail that is near their home. "I plan on doing more hiking/walking with my husband, granddaughter, and dog on the nature trails and taking in as many sunsets as I can!" Susan says.

Criteria to submit photo(s) for the Master Gardeners Monthly Photo Contest:
- Photos must be your own work
- Please enter up to 3 photos taken within the contest month.
