Master Gardener volunteers harvest herbs at the Passavant House Garden

Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Butler County spend their volunteer time working on a variety of gardening education projects and demonstration gardens.

Master Gardener educational gardens can be found throughout Butler County including Cranberry Township, Saxonburg, Butler and Slippery Rock. There is a Native Plant and Butterfly Trail at Moraine State Park and the grounds surround the Penn State Extension Office are graced by Master Gardener plantings.

Butler Area Public Library Gardens

The Butler Area Public Library, located at 218 North McKean Street in Butler, features multiple garden spaces created by the Butler County Master Gardeners.

Native Butterfly Trails at Moraine State Park

The Native Butterfly Trails of Moraine State Park are located in the McDanel Boat Launch area of the park.

Slippery Rock Pollinator Garden
