The Ride Management reserves the right to cancel or postpone the ride due to insufficient enrollment, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

*Food will NOT be provided for the competitors this year. Food will also not be available for purchase. It has become increasingly difficult to find food vendors for the ride. Please come prepared to provide your own meals for the weekend.

Mid-point snacks and water WILL be provided to all competitors.*

Arrive no earlier than 1:00 PM on Friday, October 8, 2021
Initial veterinary checks will be held beginning Friday afternoon October 8, 2021.
More information on pre ride checks will be distributed with acceptance letters.
Please include approximate arrival time on entry forms.
Check in times will be set according to horse numbers and availability of ride judges.
Actual vet check starting times will be included in acceptance letter.

The ride will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

  • Ride headquarters will be announced in the acceptance letter.
  • Ride numbers are assigned according to chronological order from date received.
  • Check with ride management to see where to park and do not park too close to another unit (for safety). Be respectful and courteous of other participants.
  • Go to ride headquarters and pick up packet of information and ride number.
  • Take horse to veterinary check in area. Attach ride number to your back and wear it at all times.
  • Check the time for the evening ride briefing and make sure you attend the meeting.
  • Do not ride your horse through camp. Keep your camp site clean and remember you are guests of the State Forest so do not litter. Leave the ride area and camp site area cleaner than when you arrived.

All riders (Adult, youth and sweep) are required to wear protective headgear.
