The Penn State Master Gardeners of Philadelphia County Plant Sale returns to the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center on April 28th. New plants and activities are being added all the time!

When: Sunday, April 28th, 2024, 10 AM - 2 PM, Rain or Shine

Where: The Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, 100 N. Horticultural Drive

This event is free to the public.

This year will feature:

  • Hundreds of varieties of vegetables and herbs - Plant list coming soon
  • Pollinator plants, with a focus on native species - This year's selection includes fan (and pollinator) favorites like bee balm and black eyed susan, but also includes some lesser-known outstanding choices for shady gardens and small spaces. Scroll down for the plant list!
  • Indoor plants: philodendron, Chinese evergreen (Aglaonema), aloe, pothos, purple heart (Tradescantia), spider plants, and more!
  • Tours of the Master Gardener gardens at the Horticulture Center: the Pollinator Garden, Edible Demo Garden, and Food Forest (in partnership with the Philadelphia Orchard Project)
  • Gardening activities for kids: Activity schedule below
  • Free interactive demos and workshops: Activity schedule below
  • Gardening Hotline LIVE: Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer all your gardening and growing questions
  • Green Elephant sale: Find well-loved gardening tools, pots, accessories, and equipment with lots of life left in them!
