Stay at home orders and virtual programs have not kept State Council down! Learn more about the activities they have done over the past month.

This month the 2020 Pennsylvania 4-H State Council had the opportunity to present two statewide 4-H Officer Trainings that had more than 400 participants. The Officer Trainings were quite a success with many eager and engaging 4-H'ers. The State Council also attended a conflict management workshop presented by Phillip Hoy, and did a State Council update at a Penn State Extension staff meeting. The State Council has been taking this time to plan many exciting social media activities, so stay tuned and stay connected with Pennsylvania 4-H by following us on social media. The State Council is also doing a lot of planning for their service project which is going to be announced soon. Those who did attend 4-H virtual officer training got a sneak peek of the service project. State Council encourages 4-H'ers to feel free to reach out to any of them during this time to attend any virtual 4-H club meetings by submitting a formal request form.

Jillian Ranko- Butler County, President

During this month, Jillian presented along with fellow State Council members at two statewide 4-H Officer Trainings via zoom and attended a conflict workshop. A personal accomplishments Jillian achieved was keeping a positive mindset on our current situation. Jillian is keeping busy by practicing her baking skills and reaching out to old friends! She is enjoying being able to work on schoolwork at her own pace and dedicate plenty of time to State Council duties.

Audrey Ferrie- Warren County, Vice President of Operations

Audrey helped present at two statewide 4-H Officer Trainings, along with fellow State Council members via zoom and attended a conflict workshop. Audrey's personal accomplishments for this month have been accepting all the changes due to the pandemic and focusing on the positives, keeping her head up and coming up with new ideas for 4-H to stay connected along with the whole State Council team, adapting to college online, staying in touch with my State Council team virtually through zoom calls-working out, and bonding with family.

Amanda Hollabaugh- Adams County, Vice President of Events

This month Amanda and fellow State Council members presented two 4-H Officer Trainings via zoom and attended a conflict workshop. Amanda's personal accomplishments were adapting to doing school work online. Also, she has been using her time to focus and work ahead for Council planning of different events. Amanda had the opportunity to speak with her county Educator this month in regards to camp and planning for it.

Laurie Enders- Armstrong County, Secretary

During this month, Laurie and fellow State Council members presented two 4-H Officer Trainings via zoom and attended conflict workshop. Laurie's personal accomplishment was having entered the last quarter of her senior year of high school and on her last report card receiving High Honor Roll! Challenges for Laurie have been being stuck at home, but she has found through various State Council meetings and workshops ways to stay motivated and upbeat.

Alyssa Neff- Dauphin County, Reporter/Historian

This month Alyssa and fellow State Council members presented two 4-H Officer Trainings via zoom and attended conflict workshop. Alyssa's personal accomplishment was completing her some of her long turn assignments for school. Another accomplishment was completing her 4-H painting project for fair. Her challenges were managing school and Council work while being at home with so many distractions, but was motivated by the exciting planning that her State Council team was doing.
