As 2020 came to a close, Council members networked and planned for events!

4-H and FFA officer teams met to share how both organizations adapted in the pandemic, and plan to meet again for a game night!

As Council's term is winding down into retirement at the 2021 virtual 4-H State Leadership Conference, attendance at virtual 4-H meetings, panels, and preparations for upcoming events continues. Preparing for virtual 4-H State Leadership Conference is especially a focus for the Council right now with much to do. Besides preparing for SLC, Council had the opportunity to participate in Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's 70th Annual Meeting. Additionally, Council met with Pennsylvania FFA State Officers to discuss each team's goals and hear about how they have been adapting to a virtual format as well. Council encourages all who have not yet, to check out the first episode of Grow Connections with Pennsylvania 4-H hosted by State Council. Finally, help State Council with their goal of writing 5,000 thank you cards to first responders for the statewide service project.

Jillian Ranko- Butler County, President

This month Jillian, along with the rest of the Council, attended the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's 70th Annual Meeting held virtually. A personal accomplishment for Jillian was becoming a member of Delta Theta Sigma Social-Professional Agricultural Fraternity at Penn State University. One of the Fraternity's notable alumni includes the current Secretary of Agriculture, Russell Redding. She is honored to have this opportunity to continue to build her network and further her professional development, as well as be surrounded by peers with these same goals.

Audrey Ferrie- Warren County, Vice President of Operations

Audrey, along with the rest of the Council, attended the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's 70th Annual Meeting held virtually. A personal accomplishment for Audrey was completing her fall semester of college for her sophomore year and maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout the semester. She has also started two new waitressing jobs, but everything shut down soon after she got started at them. She is looking forward to restaurants reopening, so she can get back to work.

Amanda Hollabaugh- Adams County, Vice President of Events

This month Amanda, along with the rest of the Council, attended Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's 70th Annual Meeting. Amanda also had the opportunity to meet with Pennsylvania FFA State Officers, be a panelist on the Farm of the Future Summit hosted by University of Pennsylvania, and present at 4-H South Eastern Leadership meeting held via Zoom along with Alyssa. A personal accomplishment for Amanda this month was finishing her first semester of college.

Sydney Brown- Erie County, Vice President of Internal Affairs

This month Sydney spoke at the Erie County 4-H Achievement Night, attended Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's 70th Annual Meeting, and met with Pennsylvania FFA State Officers. Sydney's personal accomplishment was finishing her first semester of her sophomore year of college.

Laurie Enders- Armstrong County, Secretary

This month Laurie, along with the rest of the Council, attended Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's 70th Annual Meeting and met with Pennsylvania FFA State Officers. Laurie's personal accomplishment was finishing her first semester of college at Penn State DuBois.

Alyssa Neff- Dauphin County, Reporter / Historian

This month Alyssa, along with the rest of the Council, attended Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's 70th Annual Meeting. Alyssa also had the opportunity to meet with Pennsylvania FFA State Officers, be a panelist on the Farm of the Future Summit hosted by University of Pennsylvania, and present at 4-H South Eastern Leadership meeting held via Zoom along with Amanda. A personal accomplishment for Alyssa was finishing her semester as a dual enrollment student at Harrisburg Area Community College.
