Don't Spend That Dime

The York County 4-H Program Development Committee is again asking 4-H clubs to be collecting dimes in water bottles (or something similar). Have your club decorate the bottle, being sure to put your club name and 4-H on the label, and you’re ready to start collecting those dimes!

Bottle turn in location is TBD but will be in September. Stay tuned for turn in location. The club that brings in the most bottles with the most money will receive 10% of what they collected for their own club's treasury. That's a pretty easy way to earn money for your club and 4-H at the same time! All proceeds will be used to provide educational materials, projects, and scholarships to our 4-H members.

Ideas on how to collect dimes:

  • Challenge your fellow club members to bring dimes to every meeting to fill a bottle!
  • Headed out to promote your club? Maybe to TSC for the Paper Clover Campaign or out for a promotional petting zoo? Bring your bottle along and collect some dime donations for 4-H!

We do ask that you don't leave the bottles collecting dimes unattended. A 4-H member, parent, or volunteer should always be present with the collection bottle. If you have questions, please contact Lisa at or call 717-840-7408. Thank you!
