Livestock clubs provide the opportunity to learn about and raise beef, sheep, goats, pigs, alpacas, llamas and dairy cattle.
Livestock clubs in Indiana County have a special advantage in that each club is built on a foundation rich in agriculture and with a great history in livestock production. Many club leaders are farmers in the area with a keen knowledge and several years experience in raising livestock. Club members not only learn about raising their animals, but also participate in numerous community outreach activities while also honing fundamental life skills. Educational livestock programs offered at county, regional and state levels include:
- PA 4-H Livestock Skill-a-thon
- Dairy Judging
- Livestock Judging
- Dairy Bowl
- Meat Judging
- PA 4-H Animal Science Camp
