Garden in the Park is an opportunity to meet with the Master Gardeners who work all around the county and especially in our demonstration gardens. We have fun activities, information booths, guest tables for related organizations and more.

In 2024, Garden in the Park will return to both parks.

North Park will host Garden in the Park on July 27 from 9 am to 1 pm. Come see our annual trial beds in full bloom, the pollinator beds buzzing with activity, the herbs smelling sweet and the native herbs towering above us.

South Park Learning Garden will host Garden in the Park on August 17 from 9 am to 1 pm in the new location next to the South Park Theatre. The new garden is being transformed from a garden in disrepair to a new and beautiful landscape. Our first garden design is a "Moon Garden" theme designed with blue foliage and white flowers that are delicate in the daytime and dazzling in the evening. The newest additions in 2024 are the Spectrum Garden and the Gravel Garden, demonstrating two difficult growing areas. The Spectrum Garden receives a lot of rain during storms, while the Gravel Garden bakes in the sun between the blacktop parking area and the cement block building as the backdrop.
