For some time now, 4-H leadership has been reviewing the objectives, format and member participation for several of our statewide events to gain more interest and increase attendance. To review and assess the many factors that come into play to meet the interest of our 4-H members, while providing them with a positive youth development experience, we have decided to cancel this year’s 4-H State Achievement Days.

Six 4-H’ers represented Pennsylvania in the Poultry Judging contest and the Avian Bowl contest at the National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference held at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville, KY on November 15.

The 59th annual Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show was held October 26-28 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. More than 700 youth from over 55 counties participated in 74 performance classes throughout the weekend. There were over 1500 entries shown by youth who qualified for the show.
