Animal Science Clubs

Animal clubs provide the opportunity to learn about and raise beef, sheep, goats, pigs, alpacas, equine, rabbits, and dairy cattle. Animal clubs in Schuylkill County have a special advantage in that each club is built on a foundation rich in agriculture and with a great history in agricultural production. Many club leaders are farmers in the area with a keen knowledge and several years' experience in raising animals. Club members not only learn about raising their animals, but also participate in numerous community outreach activities while also honing fundamental life skills. Owning and raising an animal project is not a requirement, but an interest in animal science is key.
