The Potter County Potato Judging Team competed at the 2024 Pennsylvania Farm Show.

The Potter County 4-H program would like to recognize their 2024 Potato Judging Team, comprising of Silas Batterson, Patience Batterson, Mark Long, Emmett Long, and Caroline Shaffer. These members practiced throughout the year by visiting potato farms, listening to farmers, and utilizing questions from previous years to place 9th in the state. During the event, these members were assessed on their abilities to grade potatoes quickly and accurately, correctly identify types of defects, and evaluate the vegetable based on various characteristics.

We would like to recognize these members for all their hard work this year and Long Farms for sponsoring the Potter County Potato Judging Team.
