Crystal Clark with her PA 4-H Diamond Award at the State Leadership Conference

The Potter County 4-H program would like to recognize Crystal Clark for receiving her Diamond Clover Award from the Pennsylvania 4-H Program on February 4, 2024. Crystal recently graduated from the Potter County 4-H program, where she was the President of the Seedsowers 4-H Club and Teen Council. During her time as a member, Crystal also served as a Northwinds 4-H Camp Counselor, a State Project Ambassador in Access, Equity, and Opportunity, and attended the National 4-H Conference in Washington D.C.

For her Diamond Clover Award, Crystal completed a year-long service project in partnership with the town of Galeton. This service project allowed her to work directly with town officials and community members to organize a day to restore the playground equipment in the town center. Crystal also spoke with various youth and adults after the event to advocate for the continued support of the town center and educate them on the importance of restoration issues.

Diamond Clover Awards are the highest honor a 4-H member can receive in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Members must complete a series of awards over five years to be eligible to be recognized, including attending state events, holding club officer positions, and participating in various project areas.

Administered in Pennsylvania by Penn State Extension, 4-H is a nonformal educational youth development program of the United States Department of Agriculture that helps young people develop knowledge and skills to become capable, caring, and contributing citizens.
