Penn State Extension Chester County announces that it will be hosting a 4-H babysitting training course on June 28, 2024 to help prepare youth to babysit.

This program will be held June 28, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Penn State Extension Office, 601 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA.

The club is designed to help prepare youth ages 11 and older for babysitting. Each participant will learn characteristics and needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, safety and basic first aid, and other topics related to caring for someone else's child and for themselves when home alone. Each participant will receive a babysitting certificate after the program.

The cost for 4-H Babysitting Club is $25. Register at Zsuite. Contact the Penn State Extension Chester County Office at chesterext@psu.edu or 610-696-3500 for assistance. The registration deadline is June 21st unless the class reaches capacity prior to that date.

Babysitting is one of Penn State Extension's 4-H Summer Day Camp Programs. Other summer offerings include Nature Rocks, Coding with Spheros, Introduction to Python, and Candy Making.
