Day Camps

Explore 4-H through county day camps! These short-term programs expose youth to a variety of project areas. Check back often to see what day camps are offered throughout the year.

  • Ag Explorer Day Camp is a week-long camp full of fun activities and field trips for kids ages 8 – 12. Typically held the third full week in June. Registration opens in March or April and is open until May 31, or until full. Call 717-334-6271 for enrollment details.
  • Other day camps topics offered in the past included sewing, rocketry, cooking, baking, weather, wilderness, wildlife, and many more.

Regional Overnight Camp

Every summer, 4-H’ers from surrounding counties gather at a nearby camp for four days and three nights of outdoor camping fun! Sleep in rustic cabins or wagons, enjoy nightly cookouts, splash in the pool, and delight in many other fun educational activities for an enjoyable camping adventure! An active club enrollment is required to attend.

County Fair

4-H members exhibit completed 4-H projects during the summer at the South Mountain Fair.  Animal science project members bring their market animals to show and sell at the Livestock Show and Sale. Members completing a project with a community, special interest or non-market animal clubs will display their completed projects in the 4-H Building at the South Mountain Fair. Contact the 4-H Educator or the club leader for more details.
