Pollinator Friendly Gardens

Did You Know? Bees and other pollinators are hard workers, and that one-in-three bites of the food we eat is a direct result of their efforts?! Pollinating insects play a vital role in Pennsylvania agriculture.

Keeping Pests Away

Weeds and bugs can be a problem in your yard and garden. All pests need water, shelter, and food to live. Yards and gardens provide many, if not all, of these things. The best way to manage pest problems is to prevent them from happening.

Bed Bugs

All members of the bed bug family feed on the blood of birds or mammals. The bed bug, Cimex lectularius, attacks man, as does the Eastern bat bed bug, Cimex adjunctus.
