The Huntingdon Health and Wellness Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located at 313 Fourth Street in Huntingdon, PA, collaborated with the Penn State Master Gardeners of Huntingdon County to create an appealing urban pollinator garden. The wellness garden encourages people to observe and enjoy the sights, sounds, and aromas of the plantings as they visit the Association or walk in the downtown area.

The 150 square foot garden consists of two strips flanking the driveway and provides easy access to all the plants. With over 20 varieties of perennial plants, the garden provides a green space for relaxation and refuge designed to promote and improve health. Future improvement plans include providing a water source for insects, weather-proof labeling of the plants, and developing materials such as a window display of the garden map and leaflets describing the types and uses of the plants in the garden.
